All things that can exist, do β at least in the realm of the mind.
We can cast out mindβs eye far into our futures or deep into our past.
The crazy thing, though, is that we can change what we see at any moment.
We can look back and say βIβm a f^ckup, and Iβve always been a f^ckup, and I always will be.β
Or we can look back and say, βDamn, that was f^cked up, but I understand why it happened. I wonβt let it happen again.β
This is where the ancient mythologies of mercy, forgiveness, and renewal come into play.

Marcus Aurelius once wrote:
βThink of yourself as dead. You have lived your life. Now, take whatβs left and live it properly. What doesnβt transmit light creates its own darkness.β
The Christ myth demonstrates something similar, but it externalizes the principle:
βGod has wiped your slate clean β you donβt have to be what you were.β
Whichever route we take β external or internal β we can arrive at the same summit.
Change.
When we change how we perceive our past, we shift our present perspective and transform our future potential.
Soβ¦
What are you becoming? π
βThose who know others are intelligent; those who know themselves are truly wise.
Those who master others are strong; those who master themselves have true power.
Those who know they have enough are truly wealthy.
Those who persist will reach their goal.
Those who keep their course have a strong will.
Those who embrace death will not perish, but have life everlasting.β
