I like both formats! But short form content is a lot quicker to read/digest and if your subscribers get used to it, you may find you’ve got a higher amount of read emails.
I do think you should promote stuff still. But a smaller email gives readers focus (oh, he wants me to do x thing), rather than giving us too many choices.

These short ones are a lot easier on my brain because I don't worry so much about making them "proper"
